Grande Hotel Do Porto, Porto

The hotel had a unique room layout, with the bathroom and sitting area on one floor and the bedroom up a small set of stairs. While it was clean and comfortable, the lack of toiletries and modern electrical outlets was a downside. The price seemed a bit high compared to what tour agencies offer, and the location on a forbidden car street made it challenging to find public parking.

The hotel's location is absolutely great, right on the main shopping street, with a pedestrianised street outside and a very busy shopping area. The rooms were astonishing, modern in style, and more than adequate for a short stay with a decent-sized comfortable bed and a good powerful walk-in shower. The service was extremely helpful and friendly, from the moment I checked in, but unfortunately, it wasn't very friendly during the mornings before heading to breakfast. The dining experience was not particularly impressive, failing to sweeten a difficult night, and the hotel offers various facilities for guests to enjoy during their stay.
